Colourful Shieldbug
A rather colourful little shieldbug in the garden on 1st August. Wasn't sure what species it was at first, but it would appear that it's most likely a Parent Bug (Elasmucha grisea). The common name is derived from the fact that they remain with their eggs and newly-hatched nymphs. Apparently, they can turn darker and more colourful just before hibernation.
