Nomada flava

Nomada flava is a large Nomada bee and is common in most parts of England. It has a yellow abdomen crossed by broad black stripes and with red patches at the anterior end. There are red stripes on the thorax and two prominent red spots. The legs and antennae are orange-red. Very similar in appearance to Nomada panzeri and ruficornis. It is a cleptoparasite of the mining bee Andrena carantonica (and some other species)
