Dicyrtomina

There are three species of Dicyrtomina found in the UK; Dicyrtomina minuta, Dicyrtomina ornata and Dicyrtomina saundersi. It was thought that all were in fact, colour variations of the same species. It is now considered that they are seperate species. All are widespread and common and found under surface debris and among low vegetation. They can grow to 2-3mm.
