Andrena flavipes

Andrena flavipes; the Yellow-legged Mining Bee is a common bee found in southern England and the south coast of Wales. It had two flight periods; March-May and June-August. Males are slimmer than females and with sparser hair. Although they don't actually have yellow legs, the legs of both sexes are covered in yellow hairs; the females with denser orange/yellow hairs on their hind leg pollen basket.
